Firelands Challenge Championship Schedule

The match schedule for the Firelands Challenge Championship Rounds has been established.  Edison and Willard high schools advanced to the Championship Rounds by virtue of their respective first and second place finishes in the regular season.  Huron High School joins them after winning the Play-off match on Tuesday.

The match schedule:

  • Match I – Tuesday, January 28, 9:00 a.m. at Huron High School
  • Match II – Friday, January 31, 9:00 a.m. at Willard High School
  • Match III – Wednesday, February 5, 10:00 a.m. at Edison High School

Points earned by the teams in the regular season are not counted for the championship.  Only the cumulative score in the championship matches for each team will determine the victor.

Edison High School has won Firelands Challenge Championships in each of the past seven seasons.  Willard High School last won the championship in 2011.  Huron’s last championship came in 1999.

There has been thirty-eight seasons of the program.  In that span Edison has 20 championships, Willard has 2 championships, and Huron has 2 championships.
