Firelands Challenge Round III
Difficult Round in Firelands Challenge
Norwalk Bumps Huron in the Standings
Most of the teams in the Firelands Challenge program saw their scores drop in a difficult series of matches that concluded on Friday. Even the standings leaders saw their scores drop from prior matches. Only the team from Danbury was able to improve upon a prior high score.
Questions that posed the most difficulty for the teams came from categories on Vocabulary (finding meanings for terms such as “travesty”), Physical Science (chemical reactions), and American History (pacesetting television shows of the 1950’s). The teams had success in the categories of World History (musical arts of the Enlightenment Era) and U.S. Government (the executive branch).
